Typical fundraising events that we run include our annual National Play Day event where we are open to the public to take part and have a raffle to raise funds and refreshments for sale.
However, if you don't fancy throwing yourself out of a plane there are still plenty of ways to help. Maybe your skills lie in baking, face painting, or making crafts - in fact anything you would be willing to do or donate for a stall at one of our fairs. Or why not ask your family, friends, colleagues or neighbours to help you?
We really appreciate everybody's efforts in organising and participating in our events. However, we also run fundraising initiatives that don't always require people digging into their pockets. For example we take children’s books for our book corner, CD's for children’s party’s and children’s DVDs for the occasional movie premier. Unwanted gifts, small toys and confectionery can contribute for our raffle or tombola prizes - your unwanted items can raise funds! Maybe you, someone you know or the company you work for could donate something that we could use as a prize.
If you are able to give us a little bit of your time to help organise or run any event - your offer would be much appreciated, and we are always open to ideas for fundraising and grateful for any assistance in this area.
Finally, to keep our costs down we are always looking for donations of supplies such as Paper, Card, Paints, Sports equipment, Board games and arts & crafts supplies. Please speak to a member of staff for email us if you can help.

How to include us in your will
If you are considering leaving a gift in your will, thank you, These special gifts fund our work and we simply wouldn’t exist without them and help change the lives of hundreds of children without them . You can leave a legacy in 3 different ways:
Residuary gift A share, or sometimes all, of your estate. After you’ve made provision for your loved ones you can leave a share of what remains to charity. This is known as a ‘residuary’ gift.
Pecuniary gift A cash gift. This is for when you would like to leave an exact sum of money to charity. It can be linked to inflation to prevent it losing value over time. This is known as a ‘pecuniary’ gift.
Specific gift A particular item, such as property, antiques, jewellery and shares. This is known as a ‘specific’ gift.
What wording should I use to leave a gift to St Matthews Children’s Action Group?
